EDC ORLANDO TURNS 15: 100+ Artists Take Over Tinker Field This Weekend

By Staff Reports
ORLANDO — The bass is back in Orlando. Electric Daisy Carnival — EDC Orlando — is celebrating its 15th edition this weekend at Tinker Field, and it’s grown into one of the biggest electronic music weekends in America.
More than 100 artists are spread across five stages over three days. Friday’s bill is topped by David Guetta, Saturday belongs to Kaskade, and Sunday closes with Martin Garrix and Hardwell — a closing-night pairing that has the whole EDM world talking. Gates run from 1 PM to midnight each day, and the festival is 18 and up.
What makes EDC different from a regular concert is everything around the music: full-scale carnival rides, art installations, costumed performers, and a crowd that treats the weekend like Halloween with better speakers. Downtown Orlando hotels fill up, and the after-parties run until sunrise.
Three-day passes were running about $336.99 with fees, and Friday and Saturday single-day tickets sold out ahead of the weekend — a sign of how big this has gotten for Orlando.
If you’re going, hydrate, plan your ride home, and pace yourself — three days is a marathon. If you’re not, expect downtown to glow a little brighter this weekend.
