ART BASEL IS COMING: Miami Beach Gears Up for the Biggest Art Weekend in America

MIAMI BEACH — For one week every December, Miami Beach becomes the center of the art world — and the party world right along with it. Art Basel Miami Beach returns December 4–6, and the whole city is already bracing for it.
Art Basel is the most important art fair in the Americas: hundreds of galleries from around the world, museum-level work, and price tags that make headlines of their own. But the fair is only the center of the storm. Satellite fairs, gallery shows, brand parties, yacht events, and pop-ups take over Miami Beach, Wynwood, and the Design District for a full week.
It’s also prime celebrity season. Collectors, musicians, actors, and athletes fly in from everywhere — half the entertainment is spotting who’s at which party. Hotels sell out, restaurants book solid, and Miami turns the volume all the way up.
