WHAT IS GOING WRONG WITH THE MIAMI HEAT? A 3-6 Start Has Fans Asking Hard Questions

By Staff Reports

Nine games in, the Miami Heat have proven nothing — and everybody in South Florida knows it.

The Heat fell to 3-6 on Thursday night with a 120-100 loss at Golden State, their third loss by 20 or more points already this season. Miami actually led 14-4 early, then watched Stephen Curry (29 points) and the Warriors blow the game open with a 38-23 third quarter. Golden State’s bench outscored Miami’s 53-27.

The numbers behind the start are uglier than the record. The Heat have tumbled to 26th in defensive rating — unthinkable for a franchise built on defensive identity — and a viral clip of Giannis Antetokounmpo checking out on a defensive possession has fans openly wondering about the fit. Giannis still posted 20 points and 14 rebounds, Davion Mitchell led Miami with 22, and Klay Thompson scored 11 in his return to Chase Center — but the pieces are not connecting.

Reports call it the Heat’s worst nine-game start in a decade. Erik Spoelstra has fixed slow starts before — but does this roster need changes, or just time?

Heat fans, we want to hear it: what’s actually going wrong, and what would YOU change? Tell us in the comments.
